Quality Management

Fraunhofer-Center for High-Temperature Materials and Design HTL designs energy-efficient heating processes and thus contributes to the sustainable technological progress of society. It develops high-temperature materials, high-temperature components and high-temperature measuring methods, thereby optimizing thermal processes. The HTL works with systematic methods on a high scientific-technical level. The primary goal is the implementation of its developments in the industry.

In December 2013 Fraunhofer-Center for High-Temperature Materials and Design HTL was certified according to ISO 9001:2008 by the German Management System Certification Company DQS in both of its locations, Bayreuth and Würzburg. In December 2015, the certification of the location Münchberg followed. Then in December 2022, the HTL was again recertified according to the current standard ISO 9001:2015.  

The quality management of Fraunhofer-Center HTL is referring to the development and characterization of high-temperature materials, components and processes. Furthermore, the scope of certification also covers the sampling with ceramic components, fibres, fibre composite components, slurries and coatings. The certification includes all internal processes: commercial as well as technical operations. All processes have been optimized in view of efficiency and customer satisfaction. The service capability of all processes is reviewed regularly.
